Rabbit in the Garden
I got up this morning and was greeted by this little rabbitt who was sitting on one of the logs on Clark's raised bed garden. I got my camera and he jumped down. I couldn't get any closer because I knew he would run. He probably thought he was in Mr. McGregor's garden but there was no cabbage - only some lettuce, tomatoes, strawberries, peppers, cucumbers and ruhbarb.

Rhubarb Pies fresh from the Oven
I made these Rhubarb pies this morning. They are cooling on the Hoosier Cupboard. Clark cut the rhubarb from his garden this morning. He was so pleased. He has been trying to get a crop of rhubarb started for a couple of years. He finally made it!
World's Longest Yard Sale
My friend Nancy Hofferbert, my daughter Keri Kendall and I are planning a trip to the world's longest yard sale the first weekend in August. We will be traveling for a couple of days going down through Kentucky. Last year was the first year we had a chance to go and we enjoyed it so much! I had never seen so many interesting goodies. The bell pictured above was a unique treasure that I brough back from the trip. I have it hanging on my mantle. It is brass and has such a wonderful sound. This year I will be looking for treasures for Persnickety Primitives. Hopefully I will have some great things to share with you when I return. I will post pictures and stories on this blog. We met some interesting people on our trip.

Thanks to my good friend, Sharon at Hickory Hollow Primitives for painting my new sign and a big thanks to my husband Clark and friend Jerry for mounting it and putting it in the yard.

Primitives Magazines
I still have summer copies of "A Simple Life" and "A Primitive Place" magazines available for sale at Persnickety Primitives. These magazines usually retail for $10.00 most everywhere, but I sell them for $6.95 plus $1.00 for shipping. They are great magazines that offer so many Prim decorating tips! I sell them for under the regular subscription price just for my Prim friends!
