Reborn Doll Blog
If you are interested in learning more about making Reborn dolls, be sure to follow my blog at: http://www.specialdeliverynursery.blogspot.com/ I will be documenting the process of making a reborn doll from beginning to end. I think you will find this interesting. See you there!
Primitive Witch Ornies
These are little Primitive Witch Ornies that I just finished. I made them from a free pattern from Kentucky Primitive (Copyright 2004 Victoria Lynn). They can be hung as decoration or just used as bowl fillers.
New Bag Dolls
These are two bag dolls that I just completed. One was a special order so I just made two of them. I used homespun yarn on these which gave them a wavy look to their hair.

Mammy Sirenia
I just made these two girls - Mammy Sirenia - from a pattern by Mamaw's Creations. I took them to the shop in Hillsboro right after I finished them. This pattern sure was an easy one. My dolls have been going great. The shop sold two last week and while I was there, a gentleman ordered one of my bag dolls for next week's delivery.

Special Delivery Nursery
Can you believe this is a doll????
Andrea looks like a real baby!
Check out my new blog at http://www.specialdeliverynursery.blogspot.com/
I am getting ready to learn to "reborn" dolls. I am really fascinated with this new art form. I will be working on reborning dolls. I know this will take some time to perfect skills in this area, but I am so excited to learn. I have already purchased four dolls that have been reborn and I will be selling them through the blog. In the meantime, I will be working on reborning some of my own dolls. Take a look. I am so impressed with these dolls. They look like real babies! They feel just like a real little baby in your arms. Ladies, I am hooked! Let me know what you think. I will be creating a page on Facebook as well.

Amelia Witch & Pumpkin Head
I have started sewing for Fall. I am in the mood for a change of season! Both patterns are by Mandy of Bittersweet Folk Art. I just love her patterns! The Pumpkin Head Make Do pattern is in the fall issue of Mercantile Gatherings. When I received my magazine, I could hardly wait to make this!

Unique Finds!
I have found two wonderful Vintage cast iron salesman's sample stoves. They are in great condition and have lots of accessory pieces with them. They are circa early 1900's. I am sure that many little children played with them. I have them for sale in the Persnickety Primitives shop. I love scavenger hunting for goodies for the shop!
Old Printer's Drawer
I bought this old printer's drawer at a shop this week. I put hangers on the back and hung it on the wall in my office/sewing room. It made a perfect rack for my spools of thread. It will also hold thimbles.
New Jewelry Has Arrived!
We have received a lot of new jewelry into our inventory and new items are arriving daily. I am really excited about this new item since I love jewelry. I have a lot of silver with turquoise, jade, onyx, amber and agate. Nothing is over $25 with most bracelets and earrings under $10 and most necklaces are under $15. In the bottom picture (center) you will see a darling little child/baby's sterling bracelet. It is adjustable and has two little silver bells on it. What a cute gift for a little one!

Yard Sale Trip
We had a great time this year on our annual yard sale trip. My friend Nancy suggested that we travel north next year. We have gone south for two years now and of course we need to explore new territory.

More Mammy Bag Holders
These are two more Mammy Bag Holders that I just finished. The top one is a pattern from Bette's Tomorrow's Treasures. She wears a watermelon print dress and the pocket on her apron says, "Clean Yo Mess Honey Chile". She carries a bag of Mammy's Best Flour. The pattern had "fingers" on the hand but I changed it because I hate turning and stuffing those bugars!
The second one is from the pattern I used before. She just wears a different dress but is carrying her Rag tailed chicken. The last one sold at the gift shop in Hillsboro and the shop owner called and asked for "more dolls with bags up her butt". So these two girls are going up there today. :)
