Fourth of July Weekend at Persnickety Primitives
Hello Everyone!
Well, here we are in the middle of summer already. Seems like we just got into the Spring season. I always love the Fourth of July holiday with all of the patriotism and the red, white and blue colors flying everywhere. These colors are not just reserved for flags. We find them on all sorts of Primitive decor. I especially love the primitive dolls all decked out in red, white and blue.
I just purchased the old washer (top two pictures). Does anyone out there know anything about this type of washer? I just call it a swing washer. The dealer I purchased it from said that clothes were put in the center "bucket" and were swished through the water by swinging the handle back and forth. If anyone has any knowledge or stories about this type of washer, I would love to hear from you.
We just got in an assortment of wonderful old crocks and crock jars. I think they give your home such a wonderful primitive look. I also have some unusual pieces that I will share with you in the near future. You can find us on Facebook under "Persnickety Primitives" and our email address is: persnickety primitives @gmail.com
Thanks for visiting!
Freida, I have never saw a washing machine like that before, but I love it. I love your shop, wish I lived near by.
