Primitive Barns and Bridges

Once of my greatest pleasures when I am driving the highways is looking at the rich heritage of our Primitive landscapes.  We are so fortunate to be surrounded by so many historic structures.  In the hustle and bustle of our daily life, we sometimes drive right by them without really taking time to  notice.  I have made a promise to myself that I am going to try to keep a camera with me when I go out and take time to really see what is right before my eyes.  I think there is nothing more beautiful than some of the old structures that are located in our community.  Whether it is an old weathered barn that time has turned a soft silver gray, a tall silo silhouette in the distance or the stately structure of an old covered bridge, nothing brings such a warm feeling as one of these time worn structures.  I always love the sound of the rumble of the boards on the bridge under the car tires as I cross the old covered bridge on the way to visit the Wheat Ridge Amish settlement.  It's like the bridge is a magical entryway to the past.  Visit this blog often.  I will be sharing other structures that catch my eye when I am out and about.
